I didn’t even know that they were nesting there for the past ten years. whoops. and now of course umass has a live “falcon cam”.
Just got word that Housing at Umass has once again not reserved spaces for Native students on the Native American Floor and now there’s random people and freshman living there for second semester. Now a friend is the only Native student living on that floor out of forty something people. These people just come live on our floor and don’t participate in activities at all. They couldn’t give a shit even if they tried. They’ve signed a contract to live on the floor but Housing doesn’t let us enforce the contract at all. We also spotted some Housing people who came by and opened the Josephine White Eagle Cultural Center’s library without our permission and they stated that it would make a lovely office for whatever it is they want. I’m so sick and tired of Umass Administration’s inconsideration for us and our space. They need to GTFO. Always taking our shit. Our Alumni had to take over the goddamned administration building twenty years back to get the things that they’re slowly taking away from us again.
I MISPLACED MY INDIAN…WHERE IS IT??…I’m tired and this is the kind of stuff Im writing right on my paper…
I’m going to miss that triumphant feel of climbing the hill and being able to see a sunset like this.
